Current Arts & Culture Projects:
Implementation of a Shipping Container Art Gallery with rotating exhibits
Funding Goal: $26,400
Shipping containers are hitting new heights as art exhibition spaces. Their sleek design offers an ideal space for showcasing stunning art, and making it accessible to everyone. The WLF is funding a shipping container art gallery which will be placed in the Historic Westminster Arts District. The gallery will be lit and climate-controlled, with panels for viewing the rotating art exhibits inside at any time of day.
Support of a Black Box Community Theater in Historic Westminster
Funding goal: $275,000
The community, led by a partnership with local schools and the City of Westminster, plans to create a blackbox theater in Historic Westminster. Through the adaptive reuse of an existing building and the flexibility and simple design that is standard with a blackbox theater, this space will be programmed by and for the community to create a wide range of productions for a broad range of ages and audiences.
