The Westminster Legacy Foundation is working with several partner agencies to address the basic needs of our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to update this page as we receive information from our partners, and the needs of our community evolve. Visit our News Page to see the most recent round of disbursements.
At this point, we are still primarily focused on food insecurity, and direct aid to those experiencing homelessness, as that has been identified as the greatest need by our community partners.
Want to help?
The most effective means of support is through a cash donation. If you choose to make a cash donation, the WLF will primarily use these funds to:
-
Purchase food for high-risk individuals and families, which volunteers will safely deliver to these households.
-
Support local food banks and pantries so they can purchase the supplies they need.
-
Provide temporary housing and emergency supplies to those that are experiencing homelessness in Westminster
Click here to donate now and select “Coronavirus Relief.”
If you are unable to offer monetary support, these food banks are currently accepting items:
-
Community Table, 8555 W 57th Ave, Arvada, CO (nonperishable items only)
-
Growing Home, 3489 W 72nd Ave, Westminster, CO (specific items needed and instructions for safe drop-off are available here: https://growinghome.org/needed-items/)
-
Food for Hope, 3853 E 120th Ave, Thornton, CO (items needed and instruction available here: https://foodforhope.net/food-items)
